I setup my project in english (en) instead of (en_US)?
As we all know, the official language of WordPress in en-US, so that’s why we setup all our projects using it also as source language.
Now when you created your project you used english (en) instead and you want to join our community! It’s impossible for now. It’s a limitation of Transifex, that should be fixed soon, until then projects MUST have the same source language to share an organization.
What can you do then? Easy.
- Your project is brand new so just erase it and create a new one with the good settings.
- Your project is already packed with lots of translations. Use the tx client, pull all your translations. Create a new one with the right settings and push the translations back in.
So for now: Be careful when you setup your project*
Why can’t I translate WordPress Core here?
All the WordPress Core translations are not open to translations cause we only use them as a reference for our Translation Memory and Glossary to help translators working faster and more efficiently using WordPress standards. If you’re are interest in helping with those files there is only one place: Translate WordPress.
I’m a translator & want to submit a project for translation
What kind of projects can I submit?
We accept only Free or Fremium plugins or themes.
If you have a PRO project to submit you should use our pro services WP-Translations PRO
How much does it cost?
The registration and the use of Transifex for Open Source Projects is and will always be entirely FREE. For now we don’t have plan to charge for developers, but we might one day ask for a small contribution from you.
